Good Morning, “My Glorious Lord: Prayer of Daily Committal and Remembrance
Good Morning, My Glorious Lord, And thank You for yet another day’s opportunity, To in You live and move and have my being, To therefore glorify Thee in my spirit and body. Thank You for a good night’s rest, and sweet dreams, Thank You for this new day that You have graciously given, Another day to redeem the time, Another day to rejoice and be glad in. Thank You for reaffirming the fact by my waking, That this day I am freshly commissioned, To continue my life’s purpose and assignments, That I continue again to accomplish Your appointed mission. Grant me Thy grace and mercy, O God, Help me to do all to the best with all my might through Thy Spirit. To run well this day’s race, finish it well, And by day’s end, to have been faithful and without sin. May Thy Holy Word in some way this day Take further root into my heart, And that by day’s end, spiritually-transformed more I’ll be than from day’s start. Let my light shine before men today, Lord, May I a glory to Thy Name be, May I share Thee with some soul today, Lord. May someone in their heart on Jesus believe and receive.. Let this day not be wasted, Lord, On works that will not count to You positively, Works of wood, hay, stubble, that will burn up surely; Guide me only to do that which will count for all eternity. Help me faithfully my spiritual armor to don, To with You this day battle the world, devil and flesh boldly, Weaponry that is mighty through You to the pulling down of strongholds, Specially prescribed and effective, not made of carnality.
And, Lord, let this day’s work be substantive, Let all I do honor and glorify You, Help me to accomplish all That is in your heart and mind, Thy will for me to do. With Thy glory being the motive for everything done, Give me a wise and understanding heart, Guide me with Thine All-seeing and knowing eye. I ask all of these things at this day’s start. And, Lord, may my life emulate Jesus.’ May it be a pure and holy delight to You, Please help me to glorify You on the earth, And accomplish the work which You have given me to do. So, again, Good Morning, My Precious and Glorious Lord, May every moment this day be Spent in holy and heartfelt Communion and worship of Thee. In Jesus’ Precious name, I pray, Amen.
