Every Day I Awaken
Every Day I Awaken
Every day that I awaken
Is just a reminder
That God is not finished
Using me.
Evey day that I awaken
Is just another encouragement
For me to realize
That God still has work for me to do.
Evey day that I awaken
Is reason for my soul to
Swell in glad gratitude,
Just to know that my God
Still has need of me.
Away with the fretting,
Away with the tears,
There is no need
To worry or fear.
God is with me,
And He holds my hand,
And if I should stumble,
With Him I’ll stand.
Every day I awaken
To a new day’s possibilities,
No whining or repining for me,
For I shall be too busily
Looking to rise to a new day
To live wholly for God.
And if Satan, the world or flesh
Should come to discourage and call,
May God personally notify them
That I am called to live for God.
Every day I awaken
Is a day of hope,
Every morning that I
Open my eyes
I shall rise in salute,
As I receive my day’s orders.
I have much to live for,
Much to look forward to.
May God help me
Faithful to Him be,
Every day that I awaken.
Is just a reminder
That God is not finished
Using me.
Evey day that I awaken
Is just another encouragement
For me to realize
That God still has work for me to do.
Evey day that I awaken

Poem: Another Day, Lord
Poem of the day: Another Day, Lord
Another Day, Lord
by Janis Perry – Copr. 2010
God has awakened me to another day,
Pure, fresh, new and unscathed,
Given yet another opportunity
To live, Lord, wholly for Thee.
Another precious privilege,
To glorify and honor Thee,
Another day in Thy presence to be,
Another day’s opportunity
To live positively for eternity.

Poem of the Day: He Was So Much More
"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9 – 11).”
Yes, Jesus was a teacher, the greatest of them all,
And, yes, he was a Rabbi, counselor and sage,
Yes, he was a carpenter, prophet, a Man of Sorrows,
And though he was a great healer, He was so much more.
He was the God-Man, sent from heaven, God's own Son,
He was the Redeemer of mankind, Emmanuel, God with us.
He was the Savior of the world, Creator, Lord of Lords,
And, though He was a raiser of the dead, He was so much more.
Jesus, the Way, the Truth, the Life, Holy Sovereign,
Sent for every man, boy, girl and woman,
Jesus, the Christ, blessed Controller and Upholder of all,
Intercessor, Lord Jehovah, the Highest, very God.
And, though He was a teacher, the greatest of them all,
Yes, a Rabbi, counselor, and sage,
And, though he was a prophet, a Man of Sorrows,
And though he was a great healer, He was so much more.
